Jessie and Anne Tipton are the only two original members still singing, although the group is still all
family with 3 generations now singing together for some 22 years. Besides Jessie and Anne Tipton, 2 of
their sons; Mark & Eric, and 2 of their grandchildren; Greg & Erica make up Kingsway.
Jessie Tipton plays lead guitar. Anne Tipton plays rhythm guitar. Greg and Eric both play bass guitar.
Eric has also written about 1/3 of the groups current songs. Willena Brown plays piano for the group.
Jessie and Anne raised their children around the table singing Southern Gospel Music. In the early days
they styled themselves after the Rambos and The Chuck Wagon Gang. Over the years the groups style
has evolved and today they play and sing a variety of musical styles.
8 years ago Greg Tipton asked his grandpa to sing bass with the group during a Watch Night Service.
After Jessie told him he didn't think he could "carry a tune in a bucket," he agreed to let him try. Greg has
been singing with Kingsway ever since. He is currently serving his country as an air traffic controller in
the United States Air Force. Greg is to be deployed to Iraq in the Spring of 2005.
Erica has been singing with Kingsway for about 3 years now.

Kingsway plays at mostly churches, however, they also play camp meetings, and various church
activities. Kingsway has never sang to entertain. They incorporate singing and preaching ministries
together to promote revival in the church. They are also proud they have never charged for their services.

Kingsway's goal is to reach the lost through preaching and music.
