| Life is never easy. In fact, it is so hard sometimes, that it is all we can do to keep both feet firmly planted on the ground. Sometimes the path of life seems so twisted and covered with debris that we often question our existence in the first place. These hard realities are something that Adam and Kathy Glover had to experience first hand. The testimony of these trials and miseries ended up being a way that the Glovers could minister to others many years down the road. "We began our journey in Southern Gospel music a long time ago," said Kathy Glover, "we just did not know it. Long before we ever recorded our first song, God laid out the foundation for an incredible ministry." "We just had to realize what God had in mind for the individual talents that He had blessed us with before we ever arrived in this world," Adam Glover agreed. "It took a long time for that realization to come." Individually, Adam and Kathy came through many difficult circumstances and wrong decisions that left both of them drowning in a world of sorrow, guilt, and shame. The couple was married in December of 1994. It was not until the couple reached their early thirties that they made the decision to make the Lord the Master of their lives. Immediately after becoming Christians, Adam and Kathy jumped into ministry opportunities head first. "We began using our God-given abilities shortly after joining Second Baptist Church in Hopkinsville , Kentucky in November 1999," mentioned Adam. "Kathy joined the choir immediately, and later, the two of us helped form a praise team in the church." Being faithful with their ministry in their home church, God began to place a stronger desire to serve in the couple's hearts. "We both felt His calling to expand upon this ministry, but we were still uncertain as to what exactly He had in mind for us," said Kathy. "We answered the call by going outside our church to minister in local churches through music." Those simple acts of obeying God's will for their life opened up many more doors for their ministry. "In August of 2002, God led us to call Les Butler with whom we began our journey in Southern Gospel music," Adam said. "Nine months later, we completed our first project - Oh, Why ." Under the advisement of Butler, the couple began to release singles nationally, and the title song, "Oh, Why" was voted as the #9 Song of the Year in 2004 on Solid Gospel Radio Network's The Old Country Church syndicated radio program. "The blessing of national radio attention has brought us so many opportunities to take our message to other parts of the country," responded Kathy. "We do this because God has brought us to this point," Adam said. "There is no other reason for this ministry. God has taken the pain of our past and turned it into a tool to bring His truth and healing freedom into the lives of others." Kathy agreed, "Our motivation is God's direction. Wherever he leads this ministry is where it will go. It is such a beautiful blessing to see God break down walls of guilt and shame in people's lives in so many of the churches and other venues where we are able to share our testimony and music. There is nothing greater in this life than what we can do for Him." After all of the preparation, all of the hard work, long hours of practice, money spent, time building relationships with band members and people in the industry, time away from their family and local church body - the Glovers know that it is worth it all . "When we see people come to the altar for the first time to receive Christ as their Savior, or when we see people bring shame and guilt that they have been carrying around for years to the light for God to begin a work of healing in their lives - we know the we are doing what we are supposed to be doing," said Adam. "As we have been faithful to the call of God on our lives the last few years, God has shown us how to use our musical abilities as well as our testimonies to change lives in ways we never dreams possible," responded Kathy. God has brought the Glovers to this point and only He knows what the future will bring. Adam said, "We can't imagine doing anything else with our lives. We believe this is only the beginning for a ministry that has already seen lives changed, and one that stands ready and willing to do whatever it takes to see more lives changed by the truth. We have turned our lives, our past experiences, and the future of this ministry over to the Lord. Whatever He sees fit will be." |
